Frequently Asked Questions

We promote the local customs and values such as respecting eachothers’ time inside the classroom and working as team to achieve successful group outcomes.  Save lives with Fast CPR.  Through our BLS Classes, First Aid CPR AED Classes and through our many community activities, we teach the subject matters that outline the importance of efficiency, timeliness, and commitment in the ultimate act of saving a life.

The simplest way to determine which course you should take is to review the requirements provided by your employer or school. If the information you’ve received is unclear, we recommend consulting your supervisor for clarification.

Our registration system is self-service, and our policies are based on the principle that individuals are responsible for verifying their own requirements. If you have further questions, please contact us by clicking the link under the Support tab.

Please see the course descriptions and detailed information on each type of course that is located on our scheduling portal.

If you signed up for a class at our Honolulu Location, we are located at 1188 Bishop Street Suite 1110, Honolulu Hawaii 96813.  Our building is called Century Square.  We are on the 11th floor.  The location is also in your your reservation confirmation email.  Here is detailed directions and parking related information.  MAP & DIRECTIONS TO OUR TRAINING FACILITY

If you are attending a class we run outside of our Honolulu Location, across the State of Hawaii or across the USA, please see your confirmation email or check with the sponsoring organization that is hosting the Fast CPR event.

Classes are scheduled through this website by clicking the Register Now tab on top of the page or go directly to our scheduling portal.  Scheduling a class guarantees your seat and upon payment, you get a confirmation email at the email address you have provided.

While the instructor maintains a strict personal dress code when teaching the class, participants are encouraged to dress casually and comfortably. This type of training involves physical activity, so practical clothing is recommended. Many attendees wear scrubs or work attire.

We understand the class often takes place on a day off, and self-expression is important. However, we kindly ask that clothing remain non-distracting. If you’re coming from the beach, please avoid beachwear.

If you cannot attend your scheduled course, you must contact Fast CPR at least 48 hours prior to the start time of the class by following the steps that are in your class registration confirmation email. Our staff or our automated systems will move you to another available course date or issue a course credit (See cancellation policy).

Fast CPR does not offer refunds once your registration is complete. If you have an emergency that makes you unable to attend the course you must contact Fast CPR 48 hours prior to the start time of the class by following the steps that are in your registration confirmation email. Our staff will move you to an available course date or issue a course credit. Course credits can only be applied to the same type of course, cannot be used by another person and must be used within 120 days of the original course. Once a credit is applied, the student must attend that course, as a credited course will not be refunded or credited a second time..

We’ve made rescheduling easy and accessible to help everyone. However, we’ve also implemented measures to ensure that frequent, untimely, or impulsive rescheduling and cancellations by a few doesn’t block others from joining classes or drive up costs for the rest of the participants. In our classes, if someone increases the cost of their own training through excessive or untimely rescheduling, and by changes to their own attendance status etc., naturally they are responsible for covering that cost—not the other participants.  We understand increased costs effect everyone in Hawaii.  There are many reasons as to why costs keep going up in Paradise.  As part of our Aloha, we make sure people we serve don’t keep increasing the costs for eachother on top of everything else that increases costs in Hawaii.  Since our class is a mandatory training for many professionals, maintaining professionalism is essential. A large part of this training involves participants effectively managing their own schedules and appointments as a key aspect of professional conduct, even when attending a job-, work-, or profession-required class on their day off.

Fast CPR classes always start on time to ensure fairness and respect for everyone’s schedule. The high-value training we offer values everyone’s time inside the classroom. Unlike some activities, we do not have a “grace period” where participants are made to wait. Our classes do not spend the first 15 to 45 minutes idling, as every minute is purposeful and focused on helping those in attendance.

Late participants will not be allowed to join, and sessions will not be delayed or repeated for others already in the classroom.

This ensures a smooth and uninterrupted experience for those who arrive on time.

We cannot overlook the progress, accomplishments, and efforts of those who have consistently participated and contributed in a timely manner for the sake of individuals who were absent when the work was being done. Therefore, punctuality is essential, and everyone is required to arrive on time to class.

Please plan to arrive a little early to be seated and ready when the class begins. Punctuality helps us provide high-quality, efficient training for all participants.

Many people appreciate that the process runs smoothly without constant interruptions or delays. Because of this, there is no such thing as a “grace period,” a “normal late period,” or an “on-time people holding their breath waiting” phase for a class that prioritizes responsiveness. Out of respect for everyone’s time, we ensure your class avoids becoming one of those activities where the first 15 to 45 minutes are wasted waiting for things to start. While some may celebrate their so-called “Superpowers of Lateness” online and try to justify their behavior, the type of superpowers we cultivate here are entirely different. Check out our About page to learn more.  Teamwork is crucial, and it is the responsibility of each individual to arrive to class on time to effectively collaborate with others as a team.

Fast CPR classes are designed to align with the professional values of busy individuals, emphasizing punctuality, dependability, and timeliness—qualities that professionals already excel in.   Here’s what sets us apart:

  • Guaranteed Seat Availability: With our streamlined process, you’ll never have to worry about wait lists and untimely cancellations.
  • Decisive Training: Our courses focus on decisive, efficient learning, so others lack of commitment won’t impact your class experience. Because, everyone is there to get trained and certified without delays.
  • Certification ASAP: Receive your certification card the same day you complete the course, eliminating unnecessary waiting periods.
  • Convenient Location: Our facility is located on the corner of Bishop and Beretania streets, both of which are one-way streets, making it a mathematical impossibility to miss our location. With easy access from anywhere in the city, we’re perfectly situated for busy professionals.
In Hawaii, it’s common for people to speak multiple languages in addition to English, and we understand many individuals are more fluent in their native language. For example at Fast CPR, when you take classes in Hawaii, your trainer speaks four languages. But this is beyond the point.  Because with decades of experience teaching various subjects across all levels of the U.S. educational system, your trainer will present the material in a way that is easy for everyone to understand.  If you feel a translator is necessary, you may bring one, but please consult with us first.

Cards are issued on the same day as the class, ensuring prompt delivery and convenience for participants. Unlike other organizations where individuals may experience delays and wait months to receive their cards, we prioritize efficiency and customer satisfaction by providing immediate issuance.

AHA courses issue eCards upon course completion. If you have already received and claimed your eCard, you can access it by visiting www.heart.org/cpr/mycards. Under the “Students” tab, enter your name and email address, click “Search”, and follow the on-screen instructions to retrieve your card.

If you completed a class but have not yet claimed your eCard, you can visit the same website to claim, download, and print it.

For students who completed their class with us, rest assured that our systems handle eCard processing efficiently and in a timely manner. To ensure a smooth experience, we strongly recommend claiming your eCard on the same day as your class, rather than delaying the process.

To renew your card, you must complete the required class. If you are in Hawaii, visit FastCPR.org by entering the URL directly into your browser’s address bar. Follow the provided links to select and register for the appropriate class. You may also bookmark our scheduling portal for easy access.
  • To renew a BLS card, you are required to complete a BLS class.
  • To renew a First Aid CPR AED card, you must take a First Aid CPR AED class.

Please ensure you complete the renewal process before your card expires.  As with all aspects of this type of training, we strongly advise against waiting until the last second or pass the due date.

Yes. We travel to deliver classes all over Oahu and all the neighboring islands.  We also fly to mainland.   But on occasion some mainland corporate folks and trainers fly to us get their training done.  This means we can even book our facility specifically for your group.  To book onsite or in facility classes for groups of 6 or more participants and for questions please reach out to us through B2B Contact Page.

Please read the course descriptions, dates, times and general announcements that are listed on our class registration portal. Talk to your employer regarding the particulars of the training they require you to receive. Read your new hire paperwork, state licensing requirements, school, and internship requirements etc. to see what is written there.  Does your paperwork say to go take a BLS class?  Does your paperwork say to take a First Aid CPR AED class?  If you are not able to find answers to your questions through your employer or through the “proof of training” requiring body that is making you take the types of classes we offer, reach out to us through our contact us page. If you have already signed up for a class with us, we also recommend reading your class reservation confirmation email.
